How do I search library databases?

Answer

I recommend that you start by using Speedy Search to search across many digital and physical library materials with a single search. In addition, Credo Reference is a good resource that provides short, introductory articles on a variety of topics. It's a good reference resource that fills in knowledge gaps nearer the beginning of the research process and may point you to more advanced resources.

EBSCO's Academic Search Complete is an excellent general purpose database addressing a variety of subjects and you can expand your search net to include all EBSCOhost databases.

You can also search the Library Catalog which provides links to many resources in library databases in addition to physical books. Once, you are there, you can click the link Power Search to activate advanced searching.
